meet ellen
Ellen is the owner & principal photographer of Ellen D. Photography. She specializes in weddings, newborn photography, senior portraits & family documentary photography.
After graduating from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in business & sociology, Ellen worked in sales & marketing at 3M. Inspired by her own wedding photographer's ability to photograph her wedding beautifully & authentically, she recognized her own desire to create art and document life. She bought her first dslr and sought out talented local photographers and began to learn from some of the best. Her studio officially opened in January of 2012.
Ellen relocated to Lake City, MN, with her husband and two young children. They are enjoying restoring an old home, being part of a wonderful community, and embracing all the natural beauty and tranquility the area has to offer.
Ellen photographed primarily in the Minneapolis area for over 6 years and continues to provide photography for the Twin Cities, Rochester and everywhere in between.
